Starting Crossfit can feel overwhelming at first. You encounter lots of new stuff. Barbell lifts & gymnastic movements. New terminology. That’s why we developed a program to get you started the right way: The Stoked Fundamentals course!
The Fundamentals course will adequately prepare you for Crossfit. You will get to know our coaches and experience the Stoked culture. We will meet you where YOU are and take it from there.
If you have no Crossfit experience or training background, this course is mandatory

What to expect
It will enhance your training experience and give you confidence in class. You will gain lasting knowledge about training basics and principles that you can add to your toolbox and that will serve you for years to come.

- Barbell lifts The Barbell is a staple object within CrossFit. We use it for all our basic strength movements such as the squat, deadlift and press and many more.
- Logistics and safety protocols We want you to move safely and teach you how to use the equipment. We want you to be aware of your environment.
- Pyramid of health & nutrition This Pyramid is a tool to visualise the building blocks that make up a healthy lifestyle.
- We build standards We have standards of movement quality that we aim to move all our students towards
- Class rules To run a class safely for all our students we have some rules in class such as, where we put our bags / gear. How we load and deload barbells, when we spot or help each other.
- What to expect in class What does a regular class look like? What do you need?

- Scaling is not failing Our job as a coach is to guide you in every workout so you get the most out of it and become a fitter person. Sometimes that requires a change in execution of a movement.
- How/why we log our wods We only do this to track our personal progressions. Sometimes it’s required to log scores because you need numbers for getting stronger.
